Terrestrial planets are those composed primarily of silicate rocks and metals. Within the solar system, the terrestrial planets are the four closest to the sun: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.

This book takes a spin around the planets, exploring extrasolar terrestrial planets and types, plus specific information on the geology and atmosphere of the four specific planets.
