Hephaestus Books represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Hephaestus Books continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge. This particular book is a collaboration focused on Old Tonbridgians.
More info: Tonbridge School is a British boys' independent school for both boarding and some day pupils in Tonbridge, Kent, founded in 1553 by Sir Andrew Judd (sometimes spelled Judde). It is a member of the Eton Group, a group of the leading academic schools in Britain, and has close links with the Worshipful Company of Skinners, one of the oldest London livery companies, and is a public school in the specialised British sense of the term. It is notoriously difficult to get into with admissions lists filling several years in advance, with many boys having had their names down since their birth. There are currently about 800 boys in the school, aged between 13 and 18. The school occupies a site of 150 acres (607,000 m²) on the edge of Tonbridge, and is largely self-contained, though the boarding and day houses are spread through the town. Since its foundation the school has been rebuilt twice on the original site.
