Description

From the early years of the Church, laity has ceased to be in full partnership in God's mission because of the lack of a comprehensive theology of the laity. This is an exploratory study to find a correlation between a theology of the laity and lay mobilization. A researcher-designed survey which measures this fuller definition of the theology of the laity will be used on two types of congregations, Methodist and non-Methodists, to discover if a more biblically adequate and functional theology of the laity will result in more lay mobilization. According to the study, a relationship exists between lay mobilization and some aspects of the laity construct theology.
