The anthology mirrors the Interludes with six themes: love, war, generations, rebellion, dreams, and values. Each theme includes an introductory paragraph on the topic and why dramatists are drawn to writing about it. For each play, the editors have provided historical context, a brief biography about the playwright, and suggestions for further study.
