Black Light: Islamic philosophical themes from the Nayrang-e 'Ishq

The Nayrang-e 'Ishq is a historically important Persianate mathnavi from Mughal India, not least because its composition earned the patronage of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. However, until now it has evaded a close examination of the philosophical themes
