The recollections of BRIDGET KNIGHT’S upbringing in a poverty stricken family in a claustrophobic small southern Irish town, with her eventual escape to prosperous England. Looking back I do not think that childhood should be that traumatic and painful with so many miserable observations. The first few years of BRIDGET’S life in an uncompassionate town now seemed to belong to the lost child.
