Railwaymen in the War: Tales by Japanese Railway Soldiers in Burma

The first Japanese army unit was established in 1896. The Japanese railway engineers was a unique branch of the army which specialized in the operation and construction of railways and the employees of the Japanese National Railways conscripted into the army.
