My Spiritual Journey

Having been born on a farm in a Midwest community gave me a quiet background setting for my contemplative prayer life. I had a very normal childhood as I grew up and I was in an environment where my standard was formed, not set, to let me accept my spiritual journey. My simplistic life gave me wisdom in understanding my God's words in my heart. While journeying, I saved many notes of each step that had brought an awakening in my spiritual journey because our "journey steps" continue on into eternity. I will share one of my steps because my understanding at that step seemed like growing into being part of God's kingdom. This happened in a prayer group that prayed in oneness. There were countless people passing through and this place of prayer would be there for each one. The people who came to join in prayer were from around the world and from all walks of life. There were people, young and old, from the area, another person came from behind the Iron Curtain (1970s), pilots, priests, ministers, a professor, a woman from Canada with three passports, and countless other walks of life, looking for a haven to have spiritual nourishment that God provided. Each one came to continue to seek a peace haven to journey in God. This part of each one's journey was not as the world knows it, but those who had come and were seeking, knew in their heart that this is where God was for them in another step on their journey.
