Renegade: The Hunter

Young Slasher is curious about everything he sees - and he has a penchant for trouble. He is a carnivore by birth. He is civilized by choice. He is fearless by nature. He is the hybrid son of a mixed marriage whose parents  have fled their home planet to find greater tolerance among the star worlds. He will be raised to Hunt Law, and ironically, trained by an old clan warrior who has also left his birth place to fulfill his life's quest. The teacher has found the student. The boy will become Renegade, trained to handle anything another world can throw at him; and to protect his people from any creature that threatens them. But first he must pass increasingly severe survival tests and learn to hunt even the most dangerous beasts, until  he faces the most deadly trial of all - the Master Hunt - which he must take alone, with life or death at  trail's end...And he learns that someone doesn't want him to succeed...
