Stranger on The Shore

The year is 1748 and here we visit England's busy east Sussex coast, and a town renowned for its nefarious nocturnal activities, Hastings. A town steeped in mystery and secrets, many of which were held in the cavernous warrens that stretched unmapped and hidden; from all except the smuggles and wreckers that used them to cover their questionable deeds. The wealthy duke Lucious Kinsbrough has been commissioned by the admiralty to recover something that was stolen; and known to be in the mysterious caves. Lucious was single-minded and hard-hearted, until his eyes fell upon the elegant Lady Seymour; she was prim proper, and disregarded marriage with a constancy that surprised even her friends. For the first time Lady Christiana Seymour befriends a gentleman, and although aware of his strikingly handsome features, lean strength and admirable character she refuses to allow herself to love. She dreamed innocently of his embrace, but once captured in Lucious's arms the dream paled against the reality.
