Description

Bob Emser s work explores space, light, structure and material in a way few contemporary sculptors do. His explorations have produced a body of work that at once delights and calms the viewer. Whether large scale or small, anchored or suspended, they seem as if they could float in air, with an intuitively strong presence. This monograph explores his sculpture. Emser is an international sculptor whose career has spanned more than 30-years. His extensive body of public work has been shown on 4 continents, in 7 countries and 27 states in the U.S. in sculpture parks, museums, institutions of higher learning and municipalities. Emser has also distinguished himself as a art advocate and leader within the sculpture community by holding seats on the board of directors of the International Sculpture Center and the prestigious Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park. In 2004 he became the founding president of Chicago Sculpture International. Foreword by Glenn Harper, Editor of Sculpture Magazine
