The Good Earth: Library Edition

Written by a Nobel Prize winner, this novel is set in China early in the 19th century, and won the Pulitzer Prize when it was first published in 1931. It tells of a farmer's constant struggle to keep his family alive through famine, destitution, flood and pestilence.
