Life's Steering Wheel

Life's Steering Wheel details the life of Paul Morris, a retired Probation and Parole Officer in Southwest Oklahoma. From a farm life and simple upbringing to the criminal justice system, the transition is humorus one minute and sad the next, but always with a twist. With little training or direction, he learns the system by trial and error as he struggles to distingish those who need help from those who take from society. More than 30 years of experience are outlined in this effort in an attempt to expose a cross section of the criminal justice system in Oklahoma. The good, bad and helpless are all seen through a Probation and Parole Officer's eyes. Working alone most of his career, he learns the hard way as he strives to protect the communities he feels responsible for. It is hoped in the reading of these pages, you will both cry and laugh but gain a deeper respect for all souls.
