Kaden Skyler Dark has a past that he wishes to forget. His parents and his brother died in 1917. In 1921 he was caught in a fire and was killed, or so he thought. He woke up in a room and his eyes could see everything, he could smell everything, and he could hear everything. He was a shadow, a vampire.
Now in 2009, he is the strongest shadow there is. He has stayed sixteen years old and is married to Scarlit Rose Dark. They get called to the Council, and they all see Kaden's past. Kaden meets someone he thought he'd never see again.
