Evike: An Autobiographical Story Set in Budapest and the Banat at the Twilight of the Austro-hungarian Empire

During September of 2004, I found my mother's fifty-year-old manuscript, which had been sleeping in the attic for fifteen years, had never been read. The manuscript brought about a new focus on old pictures I've seen since her death in 1966.

The story is autobiographical and about love - not just romantic love, but true soulmates, in the sense of Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher.
