Fire and Water

The book is about the life of a firefighter who served for more than 50 years of the last half of the last century of the last millennium. The book is not only intended for the interested firefighter but also for the curious citizen who would like to really know his firefighter in what is his job like, how he does his job and the things that a firefighter must know, but most importantly to know what it takes mentally and physically to be a firefighter, and what kind of person that is he or she? Within the book there is a lot of history of the fire service that has changed much over time and a Log where there are several memorable firefighting experiences of that firefighter that will give the reader an inside look at the fire service as well as commentaries made by the firefighter himself of the events that took place during his career. The book is portrayed in a narrative setting wherein the reader feels that he or she is talking with him one on one as to what he had experienced on the fire front as well as during the times spent at training, drills, parades, and funerals.
