Set in the Philippines, in a coconut farm in Zamboanga del Norte, Mindanao, this "autobiographical fiction" takes the reader into a time shortly before WW II to the late nineties. Written with the sole purpose to heal personal wounds of passage and transitions, the story depicts the universal struggles of a man, his land, conflicting identities and true heritage. The book weaves through family, social and political struggles, taking the option of finding heartbreaking rest in leaving the "mother land."
