MBA Survival Tips

Written for perspective MBA students, the survival tips will provide tips, resource suggestions and motivational ideas on completing an MBA program. The book provides suggestions on making the program a rewarding and worthwhile journey by: • Being dedicated to the assignments in each course; • Making the completion of the assignments a priority over other activities in your life; • To not be discouraged when the assignments and submission dates seem overwhelming; • To learn when and how to take a break from the assignments; but still remain on target; • Resources and tools to help in completing assignments, Web sites for easy access for software tools, i.e., Gantt charts, business plans, financial data; • Suggestions on how to practice making presentations, preparing documents, citing correctly, organizing individual assignments; participating in team assignments; and • Setting goals, using a count down to graduation, to make sure the students looks at what they have already accomplished, and to realize the time dedication to this learning experience will go by very quickly in the scheme of things. It will also provide motivation to students who are in the MBA program to help them realize the value of the education and knowledge being gained from the program.
