Wildcat Juliet: On The Ground In Sadr City

In the opening days of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Jason Thelen deployed to Iraq with a civil affairs unit to assist in the rebuilding of the Iraqi infrastructure and government. Over the first year of the war, Jason served with the U.S. Army in Sadr City, a hotbed of violence and poverty. Wildcat Juliet captures the rigors and dangers of life as a civil affairs soldier in Iraq, including IEDs, snipers, corrupt officials, and daily inspections of sewage pumping stations.
