Always the outcast because of his freakish psychic abilities, Bridge, a young cadet in the IPS (International Police Squadron), is sent to assist in the investigation of a series of mysterious bombing attempts. But instead of solving the crime, he finds TAPS, the Transylvanian Academy of Psychic Senses. Put on an elite team of psychics that defend the academy, Bridge goes up against many strange foes (namely vampires, with the occasional varied supernatural) and helps recover and rescue others like himself--and learns along the way about the powers he wished he never had. But in the midst of all of the adventures and the presence others like him, Bridge can't help but wonder: is this really where he belongs?
