Paula arrives in Kinbrae hoping to make a success of the cafe she's taken over. There are a few hiccups along the way, but with the help of the former owner's son, Jack, she begins to settle in nicely. Widower Jack has a teenaged daughter and runs his own business. He's not looking for a love interest - but he finds he suddenly can't stop thinking about Paula. And when Paula's ex-fiance turns up and asks her to go back to London with him, Jack has to make a decision...
