Description ▲
This book differs from my first book, God as Man Created Him, in that it is not as controversial. However, it does analyze three different elements of the Bible general, specific, and background elements and in particular, those parts where the Hand of God plays a conspicuous part. This latter aspect is ubiquitous in the biblical text, but there are several points at which it stands out to modify, specifically, the course of biblical history. This book attempts to analyze the portions of the Bible that tend to give the wrong impression or omit that which was known to those people for whom it was written but puzzling to the modern reader. The Bible text analyzed is filled with trickery, intrigue, political maneuvering, buried background, the influence of mythology, land wars, numerology, rape, gods, and questions of prophesy; take your pick. The Bible is a giant puzzle of another time and place, sometimes not even recognized as such, but being more of a puzzle because of that. Your understanding of the Holy Book will, I hope, be forever broadened.
