It is a story centered around Noyu, a Gothic Lolita, but is really a much more complicated trip through the twisted and damaged mind of a young girl. The magic and emotional pain of the story hinges on its chronological instability, taking the reader through the many levels of fantasy used as a defense mechanism to buffer the pain of an abusive childhood.
