Many aspects of New York City are covered, such as geography, history, government, specific sights, animal and plant life, food, sports, and transportation. As the children journey through the topics of the book, they will be engaged in: fact boxes, completing quizzes, mazes & patterns, rhyming, adding, applying logical thinking, racing through mazes, connecting dot-to-dots and coloring. It is suggested that older children work independently with the book, while younger children (who are not yet proficient readers) are likely to need some supervision from an adult, or older sibling, to get the most out of the book.
