Sarah's Magical Encounter

Dark clouds gathered in the distance near a small English village called Midhurst. There was something in the air that day and not just the approaching storm! The village lay in a beautiful valley. During the Summer it was covered with a blanket of colourful flowers. Majestic old trees were reaching towards the sky with their branches. Together with her parents, ten year old Sarah lived in a lovely cottage. Behind the cottage was a wonderful large garden. It was a rather warm afternoon and Sarah sat in their back yard enjoying the shadow of a big oak tree. Suddenly she saw something rather peculiar. It settled down on one of the daisies near her feet. "Is that a butterfly?" she wondered. "Or something else?" It sparkled in the sunlight, which was quite unusual. She had never seen anything like it before. She had to have a closer look. "I hope it doesn't fly away, that would be a shame," she thought. Carefully she lowered herself towards the flowers in front of her. When she was close enough, she startled. The small living thing looked more like a miniature human being. It had a tiny face, feet and hands. Even though it looked like a butterfly, it certainly wasn't. This special tiny visitor took Sarah on a journey to a beautiful land where she encountered magical creatures. She also had a difficult task to fulfill, to try and defeat an evil sorceress.
