Water Cooler and Pillow Talk

Raised by a single mother, and later by my step-dad, I was always the "quiet" one out of the group. I was born in Baltimore, MD and raised between there, VA and NY. Later, while attending Norfolk State University, I would come to realize that poetry would be my passion. It all started from reviewing a friend's poem he had written for a girlfriend and thinking, "I could do that."Then, with a pen and a pad, the creative juices began to flow. It's almost like I can step outside myself and escape for a brief moment. And, I like to get my reader involved by giving me a title. Now, I consider myself a renaissance man.
