motherland: A Novel

I left my country when I was fourteen. It is now 1990, exactly thirty years since I left. I am now a citizen of the world. I have a Japanese surname, a French given name, an American passport, an Asian face, and a Vietnamese heritage. I have no wife, no siblings, no close friends and I am going back to the place where I came from but know nothing about. That place is called MOTHERLAND
