The Fighting Leathernecks: Marine Corps Action and Adventure Around the World

The Fighting Leathernecks consists of twelve stories following the lives and adventures of some of the Marine Corps' outstanding heroes; fighters like Smedley Butler, Carlson of the Raiders, Shoup of Tarawa, Mitchell Paige and John Basilone, the hero of Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. Most of these men were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, the Navy Cross or both. These exciting stories cover a period from the Banana Wars in the jungles of Latin America, through the blazing battles of WWII and Korea.
