Description

Inside my book, Embroidery Craft: Stitching Through the Seasons, there are over 100 embroidery designs--along with many of the projects I shared on my blog turkey feathers that readers asked for. I took all requests to heart as I selected which things to include and I think there's something for everybody at every skill level. Gathered here is a collection of small sewing projects inspired by vintage stitchery, a fusion of old and new, designed to encourage hand-stitching and creativity. I've also shared some thoughts on sewing spaces and fabric storage, provided a list of tools and supplies, some sound advice about materials and basic sewing techniques, along with an embroidery stitch guide. At the heart of the book there are 30 small stitching projects organized to compliment the changing seasons, but most of the projects can be made to fit any season or theme just by changing the embroidery designs. Projects included are: * Lamb Season Doll Quilt: A tiny-size patchwork quilt with a sheep embroidered in one corner, using French knots to resemble fluffy "fleece". * Babe in a Bag: A 3-piece set consisting of a doll & quilt inside a tiny tote. * Cupcake Dessert Towels: Old-fashioned "tea towels" with a twist. * Cozy-Up Patchwork Pillow: Inspired by the autumn leaves, with quick assembly using charm packs and jellyroll pre-cut fabrics. Everything appears within the framework of my home and gardens (through the seasons), and was designed, stitched, and photographed by 'Yours Truly' making this book highly personal and unique!
