There are very few books written to advise religious superiors how to conduct themselves. Saint Bonaventure answers this problem with one of the best books on the subject of directing religious towards sanctification, while taking care of the practical matters of a community. This book is also useful for Bishops and rectors of seminaries, indeed anyone who has an office in the Church, which includes the direction of souls.
