Description ▲
According to Henry Masse, an eminent French Iranologist, the lack of information on Parthian is due to the superstitious Ardeshir I, son of Babak, who heard from his religious teachers that it is said that the government in Iran will come to its end 1000 year after the emerging the Zoroastrian religion, and Ardeshir in order to extend the lifetime of the Sassanid Dynasty ordered to put the date of his accession to the Iran' throne 260 years after the Alexander, i. e. 73 AD instead of 226 AD, which of course was a silly order though its consequences was tragic because they destroyed whatever was belong to the Ashkanian / Arsacid Dynasty so that the history of Iran for 470 years in fact is founded on what the historians of neighboring countries of Iran like Roman Empire, Greece, State of Kushan, India, had written or what later on it is found in Archaeological exploring works in Iran and in other countries.
