The Book of Moses

The 1878 text of The Book of Moses with paintings by Linda Etherington. The Book of Moses was first published in 1851 with other texts under the title, The Pearl of Great Price. It contained scattered documents of Joseph Smith's "New Translation" of the Bible, a project begun in 1830. The book was revised in 1878 and was canonized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as scripture in 1880. This publication by Mormon Artists Group uses the 1878 text alongside a newly-commissed suite of paintings by Linda Etherington.
