The Holon

We are becoming, but what are we becoming? We are biological, carbon-based creatures that will morph into cyborgs. This is the natural order of things, a synthesis of man and machine to be called The Holon. (The word comes from Arthur Koestler in his book, The Ghost in the Machine.) The question asked in this sharp, stark futuristic novel is what does the Holon do now that it is the brain of the planet? Why would it do anything at all? It is in the spirit of Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Kurt Vonnegut, and Philip K. Dick—masters of imaginative literature—that this question is asked and answered.
