Innocent Criminal

For thirty years life was calm, semi-normal, yet eventful for Gabby Pritchett Gotwald. Married to a prominent surgeon and nurturing their three boys who were stair steps, ranging in age from one to four, was an enjoyable challenge for Gabby as long as she had her day-timer. Turn that same life around in what seemed like an instant, to her three boys, now young men, moving six hours away, finalizing a nasty divorce, and hitting what could be described as way more than a mid-life crisis, Gabby is determined to get on with her life. She heads out to visit her best friend, and voice of reason, only to find herself kidnapped by two escaped criminals-turned terrorist-who she can now identify.

The true complication in Gabby's life is only beginning as she soon discovers she was rescued by a felon by the name of Cole Chandler, from the small town of Louisa, Virginia, where he has hidden out for the past twenty years, shutting down all thoughts of having a woman in his life.

The entire country is laden with a fear few have ever known, until now, with no end in sight to the destruction and havoc the terrorist are able to accomplish. The information that Gabby and Cole supply will move the law closer to catching the criminals, but will love be enough to heal these two broken people and, will they even live long enough to find out?



Patty Collins-King was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley. She holds a degree from Appalachian State University. Patty moved to Richmond, Virginia and was a full time domestic engineer to a son and a daughter. In her spare time she started an interior design business and...she started writing. Patty currently lives in Richmond with her husband. This is her first novel.
