The Four Crystals

Talk about a bad day. Only moments after Monie and her two friends finish pulling a brutal prank on Zana, Monie finds out that the village warriors must venture to the neighboring country to destroy portal of evil that has the essence of the dark wizard himself. Even worse, they say she is too young to go with them. Sure, she gets to guard one of the four legendary Crystals, but all she really needs to do is make sure it stays on the shelf. What could go wrong? The night of warriors’ departure, though, the Crystals vanish, stolen by an unseen thief. Suddenly, it is up to Monie, Zana, Janiva, and Deka to find them before the full moon, when the wizard is sure to drain them of their power. Splitting up into two groups, they quickly learn that the quest is more than just a childhood game or a carefree fairy tale. It can be deadly.
