Description

Church Singles Ministries: All singles were not created equal... is the second book in Amazingly Single-The Series. Each book in the series highlights different areas of ministry for single women. In this volume, the author identifies the eight categories of singles; i.e. single-never married, single-divorced, single-widowed, etc. Since there are so many categories of singles, it became apparent that all singles should not be lumped together in one singles group and offered ministry. Couples have only one category, marriage; therefore they can be placed into one group and still receive effective levels of ministry. Different needs exist within each singles category; therefore the needs cannot be addressed if the categories are not identified. In addition to identifying the singles categories, singles ministry leadership is discussed along with suggestions for singles ministry activities. “It should not matter if a person is single by choice or divorce, an unfortunate loss or due to the cost because all singles should be able to have their needs met by their local singles ministry.” Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Although our lights are single in flame because we are not married, that does not mean our lights should be overlooked. Singles have a place in ministry too; therefore more attention should be given to all singles from different categories and the singles ministry instead of them being viewed as afterthoughts. “It should not matter if a woman is single by choice or divorce, due to an unfortunate loss or due to the cost”…
