Pride Kills - Forgiveness Heals: How One Family Found Freedom from a Six-Year Impasse, I.E., a Conflict Offering No Escape or Resolution

Families have crises much worse than ours, I know. But this one began three years following the death of our youngest son from drug addiction. So, to us, nothing could be worse than now being estranged from our beloved daughter and our three-year old granddaughter. Debbie asked, "As a single mom, don't I have the right to live as I choose?" Her dad asked, " As your dad, don't I have the right to disapprove?" Miscommunication, judgment, anger, blame, and the powerful force of PRIDE that KILLS relationships, grew way out of proportion. What we simply needed was to hug and make up. But, that seemed to be the last thing anyone was able to do. The roots of bitterness choked joy out of every aspect of our lives for six agonizing years. Oh, how I prayed for, and then received, the miracle of God's FORGIVENESS that HEALS.
