After a zombie apocalypse, Gemini finds herself pregnant and alone, trying to survive and prepare herself to raise a child. Upon finding love in a stranger named Jackson, she has hope again. But when they decide to move to Bakersfield, California from their native Lake Isabella, they run in to a whole new set of worries and troubles, along with what they hope will be the new dawn of civilization.
