Walkin' the Walk While Talkin' the Law: The Life and Work of Jonathon "Skip" Chase

Jonathon "Skip" Chase was a remarkable lawyer, teacher, friend, husband, father and athlete. In his career, he served as Professor of law at the University of Colorado Law School; was Founding Director of Colorado Rural Legal Services; and was Dean and Professor of Law at the Vermont Law School. Perhaps his most notable achievement was in moving and using the law for social justice. For Skip, the law was a tool for the protection of rights of all citizens, particularly those least able to protect themselves. He inspired a generation of lawyers through his unrelenting insistence to advocate for those whose causes the law often ignores.
