Clementine's illustrated log tells the true story of how she and Scarlett circumnavigated South America in a cruise ship and became celebrities at sea for their wild escapades on land. At every oppportunity during their two-month voyage, Clementine and Scarlett rented cars and left the ship for as long as they could. Their record time was for eight days, when they disembarked at Buenos Aires, Argentina, and caught up with the ship 1,750 land miles later in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Clementine and Scarlett explored the deserts, mountains, and jungles of South America. Along the way, they experienced the mystery, the awe, the humor, and the danger of adventure travel. When aboard ship, an assortment of offbeat characters broke the monotony of days at sea. Their lives unfolded and relationships developed during Happy Hour in the piano bar, where they regularly gathered to hear the stories of Clementine and Scarlett.
