All Roads Lead to Roman: A Hunter Family History

"All Roads Lead to Roman" is a family history of a specific line of Hunters who came to this country as Jaegers and later americanized their name to Hunter. This book centers around the family patriarch, David Sites Hunter, who farmed his land and raised a family with his wife, Jane Smith Hunter, near Roman, Virginia. In the 1800s Roman was a little crossroads village that is completely gone now, however today's Augusta County maps still designate Roman with a little white circle on the Roman Road. David's ancestors have been determined by modern technology, and his descendants are described in a detailed storybook form as well as an indented outline. This book has a family timeline, descriptions of the Roman area as far back as the Civil War, and a multitude of photos both old and new.
