The book combines the author's challenges of growing up poor in Los Angeles and points to rock music as a contribiting factor in his sucess in life. He takes the reader on a journey that includes interviews with Hispanic musicians in the hard rock and metal world, and speaks to them about their own struggles, challenges and contributions to the music. Manuel Hernandez Alzaga is a veteran, taught special education and is now a public school principal. He has earned three degrees and currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
