The Bible According to Nick Santangelo: "A Contemporary Mythic Tale"

Nick Santangelo pulls a routine assignment to cover a "downed" satellite. The timing couldn't be worse. His mother's oncologist does not expect her to last the night. He misses Hannah, his ex. The assassination of his brother (a savvy political reporter) occurred outside their parents' house. His editor arranges to meet him and gets gunned down. It doesn't get better. A package for him explodes outside the house. His investigation leads him to discover his ex is the biblical "Eve." The satellite showers the East Coast with her father's treacherous, electronic pulse that heals any illness, including his mother's cancer, until it viciously shuts down and turns the dreams of thousands into physical rot. Torn between fear and doubt, Nick learns that Hannah had conspired with his brother and had inadvertently brought about his death. Eve has the support of the president and showers Nick with evidence that her father, Methuselah, sabotaged the NASA satellite to avenge her ancient disobedience. Thus armed, Nick assists her, and her libidinous sister defend themselves against their father's wrath. As Hannah/Eve had hoped, Nick's "Bible" documents a father's vengeance in the face of his daughters' disobedience-and proposes "a new Genesis story for Earth."
