My Cape Cod Dream

My Cape Cod Dream is story in poetic form about growing up on Cape Cod. The paintings for the illustrations were created from real photographs of the 1960's and early 1990's of Terriann, her sister Patti Erickson, and son Dylan Maney. When Terriann moved back to Falmouth 1998, she visited Smitty's Homemade Ice Cream and wrote the original version of My Cape Cod Dream. Inspired from childhood memories, the love of Cape Cod and a double scoop of chocolate ice cream, Terriann wrote a poem reflecting her childhood memories. The original version of the poem (as of this publication) remains over the fireplace at Smitty's Homemade Ice Cream in East Falmouth where it's been since 1998. My Cape Cod Dream is recognized as "A Cape Cod favorite" published on The Falmouth Visitor web site in1991 and was a featured reading at the Katharine Lee Bates Poetry Festival in 2005.
