Description

Marvin, the Marvelous Person of Snow, is a fantasy adventure about Marvin Person who lives in Snow Town, located just south of the North Pole. Everyone in Snow Town is made of snow and lives for snow! Each year someone from Snow Town is chosen to compete in the Winter Weather Contest held in the Grand Snow Ball Room in Glacier City. Contestants compete to create winter weather through their own special talents. A long line of "Persons" from Snow Town have won the contest including Marvin's father, Buster Blizzard, and his mother, Snow Flake Sally. Buster's talent was bowling huge snowballs. Sally won by crocheting the most beautiful snowflakes ever! Marvin does not bowl or crochet. He dances! On his journey to Glacier City, Marvin encounters seals, polar bears, and Arty, a helpful Arctic fox. Upon hitching a ride on the Ole North Wind, Marvin arrives in the Grand Snow Ball Room just in time to perform his dance routine. which includes the Chilly Cha Cha, Polar Pirouette, Snowflake Samba, Iceberg Polka, and Cool Twist. After receiving a perfect score from the judges, Marvin is declared the Winter Weather Wizard of the Year and given the name Marvin, the Marvelous Person of Snow because he is MADE of SNOW, COMES from SNOW TOWN, is named MARVIN PERSON, and is "SIMPLY MARVELOUS!" On his return to Snow Town, Marvin is welcomed a hero by throngs of adoring friends and family. He has brought honor, once again, to the little town nestled just south of the North Pole. But more importantly, everyone now knows that because of Marvin, The Marvelous Person of Snow, the world is a little brighter AND a little whiter place in which to live.
