Sealand 1001

Nearly 200 years into the future, mankind has survived global warming but continues to face the problem of overpopulation. The Free Sealand organization offers an economically and politically viable solution to this problem: floating city-nations. Environmentally however, the cities pose a great danger to the health of the oceans and threaten to throw the world into another climate crisis. A terrorist group known as the Ocean Peace Resistance (OPR) joins forces with militant dolphins and whales belonging to the World Council of Cetaceans to stop further development of Sealand cities.
 "Sealand 1001" is the newest city to be launched by Free Sealand and targeted by OPR. We follow the planning and execution of an attack on the city through the exploits of two of the terrorists, Jackie, an aquaculture and cetacean communication expert, and Daniel, a former US Marine working undercover as a commercial angler out of Honolulu. Jackie's dolphin friends, Power-flukes and Long-breath, join the dolphin Rangers after their family pod is massacred and play pivotal roles in the attack. Free Sealand's perspective unfolds through the eyes of the governor of the city and his lover, a Sealand transient worker.
The struggle between human civilization's careless exploitation of the earth's resources and nature's need for balance is a central theme of Sealand 1001. A fast-paced story of espionage, political intrigue, terrorism and love unfolds within a rich backdrop filled with detailed description of future technology and careful analysis of environmental issues.
World tension mounts and violence increases as the floating cities continue to proliferate and place the oceans in grave peril. Dolphins, whales and humans must find a way to work together to avoid war and another global climate disaster.
