AksharaChitramala - A Book of Indian Languages Flashcards: A Teaching aid for Indian Languages (Sanskrit Edition)

This is set of flash card in Sanskrit, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Telugu and Tamil. This starter set is built with full coverage for Devanagari script letters. We plan to supplement other languages in another set. This set also highlights that all the Indian languages have roots in Sanskrit language. Having same root language all Indian languages have many similarities and once a student learns one language it is easier to learn other. The beginning of the set covers all the Devanagari letters followed by Vegetables, Fruits and Colors/Numbers. We have experienced that students learn quickly with flash cards. Here are some suggestions on how to use these cards. Show the cards and ask them what it is. Spread the cards on table and ask them to point certain word, vegetable, fruit or color/number. Make teams of students and play above games. If you have mix of language students make teams consisting of each language and play above games. Distribute cards to students and call cards and students need to show when it is the card you called.
