The Troika. This fiery and lyrical piano sonata blends the Classical and Romantic styles of Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin, and Schumann with modern, highly colorful melodies, polyphony, and rhythms--from gestures evocative of falling snow to a wild, midnight ride through a winter landscape.
