Description ▲
I'm Ray Anderson, born on March 4, 1930. My dad was out of work due to the depression of the 1929 crash. We had to lot of different jobs and also a lot of moving, when we would get the property fixed up the owner would raise the rent too high, so we had to move a lot. This is how I learned to do a lot of different jobs. I enjoyed learning all the different challenges, how to repair the houses. We finally moved to a farm, there is where I learned how to farm and repair the equipment. It was a lot of work but I enjoyed it. I got a job in garage then on to BF Goodrich Truck shop until I retired after 26 years. I was also in the Naval reserve for 9 years during the Vietnam and Korean times and reached the rank of 2nd Class Petty Officer.
