The Shafting of the Shoft is a fast paced radio play from the colourful imagination of Doug Moody, the greatest playwright in the Southern Hemisphere. Moody has blended comedy and tragedy to bring us a marvellous piece of audio drama. We are transported to a backstreet community television station which is controlled by a motley gang of media junkies whose ambitions outweigh their abilities. These egomaniacs resent the sheer brilliance of Shofty, the volatile but highly skilled studio technician. Shofty is on trial accused of uttering profanities in the confines of the studio and of sabotaging valuable equipment. Will the poor fellow be shafted by a bunch of blow-ins or will he live to fight another day?
